This episode opens with William Kaplan getting the Torah out of a cabinet at the Eastview Synagogue for his Bar Mitzvah. He reads from the scripture with his rabbi as his parents look on.
The production filmed in a real synagogue, Temple Kol Emeth, in Marietta, GA, just off Old Canyon Road. The interior of the synagogue can be seen through a link on Google Maps and is an exact match for shots in the show.
