Hope Shlottman is not responsible.
JESSICA JONES SEASON 1
Jessica and Jeri both visit Hope at this correctional facility, where she is being held.
The interiors of the correctional facility are the old Fulton Correctional Facility (also seen in Luke Cage Season 1). The exterior, as seen in episode 6, was also filmed at this same location off of E 171st at Cortona Place.
When Jessica receives a call in episode 5 from this location, it’s identified as “Northeastern Correctional Facility.” But in episode 6, when the exteriors of the facility are seen, the signage indicates “Northeast Correctional Facility.” We are going with the former, since the signage is only visible on one or two frames of the finished show.

Exterior 2
In episode 10, Jessica goes to the correctional facility to pick up Hope after her release. The production filmed this sequence outside the south entrance to the Getty Petroleum building in Greenpoint, rather than at the previous location in the Bronx.

JESSICA JONES SEASON 2
In Season 2, episode 8, Jeri visits Shane Ryback in the visitor cell to let him know she’s now representing his case. She believes Shane has the power to cure her disease. The exterior signage here confirms that the prison is the “Northeast Correctional Facility.”
It’s uncertain at this time whether these interior shots were filmed on a soundstage or at the location above.
The Greenpoint Studios reprise their role as the correctional facility in Season 2, episode 9, where Jeri meets with recently released convict Shane Ryback, who claims to have healing powers.
