Convoy, City Chase – part 2 | MCU Location Scout

Once again, it all falls on my shoulders. Wait, didn’t I just say that?

For much of this city chase the production closed off five blocks of two downtown streets in Vancouver, but also–according to Cinefex 160–filmed “some gags on an airfield where stunt drivers powered the truck and its attendant Humvees through parked cars and isolated set pieces.”

Convoy Strikes Auto

An out of control prison transport strikes an automobile in the street.

This occurs just in front of 1139 W Georgia St, Vancouver.

Convoy Strikes Deadpool

Wade stands up from where he fell off his motor scooter and is promptly struck by on of the HumVees.

925 W Georgia St is the store behind Deadpool when he gets hit.

Inverted Street

Wade looks through his legs, upside-down, and steers the HumVee along the street.

The first part of the upside-down driving scene is on W. Hastings near Hornby St, while the second sequence (a few moments later) is on W Georgia Street approaching Thurlow.

Intersection Crash

The out-of-control prison transport crashes through a number of cars and another intersection.

This is back on W Hastings St at Thurlow, with the Marriott Hotel in the background of the first image below.

Convoy Driving Through Building

With no brakes, Domino decides the best way to “slow down” is to make a left through the side of building, scaring a couple of pedestrians in the process.

This stunt was probably one of the ones filmed at the airfield (as mentioned above), but within the city takes place at Burrard St at W Georgia St, with the transport barreling through the Burrard Properties building.

Juggernaut Attack, Bridge

With Russell free from his cell, he lets loose the Juggernaut–which causes some problems for the heroes.

Juggernaut’s attack inside the prison transport occurs near the north side of the Granville Bridge, the same bridge the convoy and Wade used to enter the city.
