Convoy, City Chase – part 1 | MCU Location Scout

Deadpool jumping off truck onto prison convoy.

Once again, it all falls on my shoulders. It’s why I’m cursed to be a solo act.

For much of this city chase the production closed off five blocks of two downtown streets in Vancouver, but also–according to Cinefex 160–filmed “some gags on an airfield where stunt drivers powered the truck and its attendant Humvees through parked cars and isolated set pieces.”

Domino Landing

Domino drops in at the cross-street of Bettini Blvd to make a one-woman assault on the convoy.

This exact location is unknown, but appears to be made up of several digital assets, including the gas station that a car crashes into. Possibly some portion of this scene is based on a real Vancouver street, but for now it remains ephemeral.

Moped on Street

Wade zips in and out of traffic on his moped, catching up to the convoy at a corner.

The convoy is traveling on W Hastings St crossing Hornby St, when Deadpool picks them up.

The convoy heads into another intersection where Cable leaps over the lead HumVee and onto the prisoner transport vehicle.

This is the intersection of W Hastings Street at Burrard Street in Vancouver.

Deadpool attempts to stop Cable with his small pistol as he follows the convoy.

This was shot around 1133 W Hastings St, in front of the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront in Vancouver.

Explosive Truck Flip

Cable drops a bomb which blows the back-half of the prisoner transport apart in an explosive flip.

This was filmed just outside 1038 West Georgia Street.

Wade falls off his moped as the prisoner transport makes a hard right turn.
