Welcome to Historic Downtown Tamaha.

Downtown Tamaha

After spending the night in her old house, Maya rides through downtown Tamaha to visit some old friends.

All of the downtown Tamaha scenes were shot in Grantville, GA. This is the same town that was used in The Walking Dead in the third season. The first shot of downtown, showing the train tracks and Maya riding in on a motorcycle, was filmed on Main Street looking southeast towards Church Street.

Episode 5 has some additional shots of the downtown businesses.

Merryman Liquors & Iron Rings Martial Arts

A series of images showing the town are the next shots. These include the local liquor store and a martial arts academy.

These two buildings are right next to each other in Grantville at 5 LaGrange Street. The Iron Rings signage is tucked around the corner to the right of the liquor store.

Tamaha Street Corner

Maya rides past the Community Center, which has a mural, shown above, welcoming visitors to Tamaha. It is painted in the shape of Oklahoma and is reminiscent of the “Welcome to Jersey City” mural in the Ms. Marvel episodes.

Also filmed in Grantville, this is the corner of Main Street turning onto LaGrange. Merryman Liquors can be seen on the right side of the bottom image, along with the town water tower.

In episode 3, Maya drives this corner again at sunset, but the camera is on the other side of her.

And Maya again makes the same trip around the corner in episode 4, this time with wet streets.

Bar

Maya stands outside the town bar, looking at Bonnie drinking alone inside.

The exteriors of the Bar were shot at approximately 30 Main Street in Grantville, GA. The interior might have been filmed there as well, but it is probably a soundstage at Trilith Studios.
