Steps of City Hall

As a ruse to pull the killer from hiding, Agent Thompson hosts a press conference on the steps of City Hall to exonerate Howard Stark from the charges of treason.

The Universal Studios backlot, New York street at Embassy Street, served as the location for this Howard Stark Press Conference.

Peggy and Thompson investigate the shooting at the Belton Hotel, which is just across New York Street on the south side, before having a conversation in the middle of the street. The sidewalk with pedestrians that Peggy sees is right next to the alley where Howard gets abducted.

City Hall Alley

After some gunfire erupts, Howard heads into an alley and an awaiting police car. Unfortunately, it was all a ruse to kidnap him.

The alley was also filmed on the Universal Studios backlot, but not behind the location for the Press Conference. It was filmed one street over to the west, off Wall Street.
