Helping little ladies grow into wicked women.
Exterior – Polish Woods
Peggy and her team land in Poland and meet the Howling Commandos. The entire outside encounter in the woods was filmed at the Golden Oak Ranch in Newhall, with manufactured snow (plus some green screens) to create the European setting.

Exterior
The exterior of this Belarusian Academy is seen twice, once through Agent Thompson’s binoculars, once in the image at the top of the page. What he’s really seeing is the Dartmoor Prison in England.

Interior
The academy is first shown at the beginning of the episode, in 1937, as young girls are trained to become, presumably, Black Widows. In 1946, Peggy and the Howling Commandos investigate a connection in the same location to Howard Stark.
This location is a dormitory called the Hollywood Studio Club, which, much like the Griffith Hotel, was a chaperoned dormitory for young women in Hollywood from 1916 to 1975.

Interior – Jail Cells
Further into the compound, the team discovers two prisoners, Nikola and Dr. Ivchenko, whom they free.
Some of the tunnels in the prison complex appear as if they might be actual locations, while the room that the final battle takes place in is part of a soundstage, primarily since the Commandos blow a hole in the wall. So, how to find someplace like that? How about one place that is both? This sequence, from entering the prison portion to blowing their way out, all appears to have been filmed in the basement soundstage of Willow Studios in Los Angeles. The distinctive yellow tiles and hallways seem to match to images on the Studio website.
