Establishing

Two different aerial views of a castle used by Daniel Whitehall and HYDRA, one in 1945 and one in 1989, reveal the successes of his experiments in prolonging life.

Both images are from the same stock footage of the castle ruin of Abbaye de Montmajour in Arles, France.

Woods Outside Castle

In the episode stinger, a young Calvin Zabo finds a bloody Jiaying left for dead after Whitehall’s experiments. The image is extremely dark and has little detail. However, it’s possible that this quick shot was taken at the Canyon Ranch in Thousand Oaks, where scenes with the Ward brothers were filmed for this episode. Without any other detail to go on, this location will remain unknown for the time being.
