Italian Countryside | MCU: Location Scout

It’s on a train, through the Italian countryside, from Verona to Zagreb.

Italian Railway

The first half of the episode has the Agents on a Rotaia Italia train in the Italian countryside trying to track a Cybertek shipment to Ian Quinn. The action repeats from several of the characters’ points of view, always ending with the Agents jumping off the back of the train.

The production utilized the Fillmore & Western Railway, which runs between Fillmore and Santa Paula. Footage of the train running along the rails was filmed along the western Fillmore sections of the track, between 7th Street on the East and where the tracks cross Route 126 on the West.

The spot where Ward and Coulson jump off the back of the train was filmed West of Fillmore at the western end of Keith Rd. The image at the top of the page is stock footage, supposedly of a train in the Italian countryside, but the location has not been ascertained.

Italian Vineyard

Ward and Coulson make their way into a vineyard and steal a white truck, driving back out towards the railway. A short time later, the train stops in the countryside, and Coulson, Ward, and May return to the train. The stopped train was filmed just west of the location below, along the tracks.
