The cafe could have been shot almost anywhere, from a soundstage to out in Fillmore, where the train sequences were shot. But, as with many questionable locations, it’s always best to look closer to home. There’s a great story about how this location was found, which will be included in the write-up for a similar cafe from Season 2, episode 4, “Face My Enemy,” and the abduction of Raina.
This exterior was shot on the Culver Studios lot outside the commissary, called Lucy’s at this time. It’s located on the Ince side of the lot, right around Poinsettia Court. The image below of the Homegirl Cafe, circa 2015, shows the front of the eatery.
