Hannah Hutchins is berated by the employee at the local Roxxon gas station, due to her responsibility for some townsfolk dying in a particle accelerator explosion. This prompts her telekinetic powers to erupt and causes an explosion.

Obviously, no real gas station was damaged here, and the production used one of the numerous Southern California film ranches, the Middleton Ranch, to film this sequence.
