Coulson and Ward stop a cowboy along a trail and ask the gentleman (very politely) about who the people were he sold his excavator to.

The exact location of this quick scene is unknown, but given the dry brush and hillside visible, it was probably near the location of the opening scenes filmed near Castaic.
