Doc Ock rips out the control panel and leaps off the train, leaving Spider-Man to figure out how to stop the runaway vehicle filled with passengers. His spider sense detects the end of the line, ending into the East River.
This intersection with the end of the line doesn’t really exist and was created using visual effects. The surrounding architecture appears to be based on the intersection of Wall St and South St (East River Parkway).
