Initially Peter is introduced to Dr Otto Octavius by his friend Harry. Later, a demonstration of the new fusion reactor at the labs leads to an accident that turns Octavius into the Spider-Man foe Doctor Octopus.
The Anthology Film Archives building, on 2nd Ave in New York, serves as the exterior for Octavius’ Lab. The interiors, however, were filmed on Stage 30 at Sony Studios in Culver City.
