What better place for an octopus to live?

After escaping the hospital, Octavius discovers an abandoned warehouse on a pier in which to set up his new laboratory.

The design for this location is based on the now demolished Pier 56 on the Hudson River. The location consisted of a large-scale miniature for the exterior shots, and a soundstage for the interiors.
