And I know IGH experiments on people, like Dr. Kozlov did to Simpson.
Finding a prescription that belongs to Robert Coleman (The Whizzer), Jessica tracks down a local business that distributes the pills. It appears to be a garment manufacturing company, but the initials of the business spell IGH–the same medical group that experimented on Jessica.
Jessica later discovers that this company is a front for Dr. Karl Malus’ genetic experiments, who gave powers to Robert Coleman, Jessica, and her mother, Alisa. Flashbacks in episode 7 show various elements hinted at in other episodes, including the recuperation of Alisa Jones, the killing of Luanne McClure, and the injuries sustained by Inez Green. The final appearance of the lab occurs in episode 11 when Trish attempts to have Karl give her powers, but Jessica manages to stop him. In a moment of realization, Karl blows up the lab, destroying all his work.
This building, 23-20 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City, Queens, was torn down sometime after 2018, and a skyscraper was erected in its place. The interior of the building, which shows disused medical equipment, and in episode 3 provides the name of Dr. Leslie Hansen, appears to have been filmed at the same location.
