Scientists have ruled out global warming as the cause of the climatic events being reported around the globe.

Since the production filmed this movie in Vancouver, it may be a surprise to some that this is not actually the corner of 3rd Avenue and E 48th. In fact, the street sign was posted in the middle of the block, just outside the westernmost corner of 890 W Pender Street, at the corner of Hornby Street and an unnamed alley. The reflection of the distinctive building across the street was instrumental in locating this storefront. This location pops up briefly, later in the film, as New York also experiences a power outage.
