The second Fantastic Four film opens with a mysterious object streaking across the sky. As it passes a fishing boat on a Japanese Bay, the water around it hardens.

Don’t be fooled by the inclusion of Mount Fuji in the background. This sequence was filmed on Howe Sound, just off Minaty Bay in British Columbia. The boat is the Cape Ball and can be seen in an image captured on Facebook near Prince Rupert, BC. The view of the mountains in the second image below is looking southwest into Howe Sound from Minaty Bay, as seen in the Street View image below.
