What do I care about Latvian Heritage?

After he visits the middle school, Mayor Fisk is rushed to a second location where he’s distracted by news leaking that he’s a union buster. He’s surprised to find himself in the Latvian Cultural Center, where they perform a Latvian rendition of Starship’s “We Built This City.”

The Lotos Club, a private literary club on E 66th Street in Lenox Hill, was used for this Cultural Center. An interesting continuity error occurs in the scene with Fisk and Sheila walking into the Center. In the shot immediately below, there is nothing on the wall above Fisk’s left shoulder. But after cutting away and returning (to the shot at the top of the page), suddenly there’s a large banner hanging there. This is a banner for the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Cultural Center, which is located across the street.
