While audiences are thinking they might see another attack on a witness’s van like in Daredevil Season 3, they are treated to a fake-out. The dirty cops follow Cherry’s dark van while Nicky Torres is secretly taken to court in a taxi.

The sequence breaks down into three major areas with several setups within each filming location. The first is Two Bridges. Cherry’s van is driving west on (coincidentally) Cherry Street towards Market/Market Slip. The Manhattan Bridge supports can be seen behind the vehicle tailing him.

From there, the action moves into Chinatown. Cherry makes a left from northbound Market Street onto Henry Street. The motorcycle officer continues traveling north on Market, crossing over Henry and passing the First Chinese Presbyterian Church, all in Chinatown.

Believing he has lost the motorcycle cop, Cherry’s van then makes a right turn from eastbound Henry Street onto Catherine Street, also in Chinatown.

Thinking he’s in the clear, Cherry is surprised when the motorcycle officer comes out of an alley, blocking his path, and Officer Powell demands that he open the back of the van.

This definitely didn’t look like we were in Chinatown anymore! In fact, the initial thought was that this was back in Brooklyn, where the opening moments of the chase began. The strange silver dome in the image below (above the officer) proved different. This is one of the familiar tops to the Newtown Creek Wastewater Plant in Greenpoint. This location is 35th Street in Long Island City, between Van Dam Street (behind) and Review Avenue (in front). It is literally around the corner from Silvercup Studios East, the production’s home base.
