Thanks to Spider-Man, crime rates have dropped to a record low.
For many New York street-level shots, the production built a three-block set on the Pinewood Studios backlot. This included Peter’s Apartment, Ned and MJ’s Apartment, Delmar’s IV, and various other alleys and sidewalks used throughout the film. Digital extensions added upper floors and the view of the Queensboro Bridge and New York City skyscrapers in the background. Signage on some of these buildings includes easter eggs for Spider-Man creators, including Peter David and Steve Ditko.
