Jeri is agitated about having to visit her doctor, who has some distressing news for her.

The interior shots of Jeri and her doctor were possibly filmed on a soundstage, though it may be a portion of another office location that the production filmed. Audiences would need to wait two more episodes to find out that Jeri has been diagnosed with ALS. In episode 4, Jeri returns to discuss treatment options, and the exterior of the clinic is shown.

The exterior is part of the International House, a non-profit organization, located on Riverside Drive in Morningside Heights.
