New York City, Earth-828 (1964) | MCU Location Scout

Breaking news from Times Square.

The adventures of the Fantastic Four take place on an entirely different Earth, as seen in the other MCU films. This version of New York features monorails and other technical advancements owing to the scientific discoveries of Reed Richards. It’s a lot like the Earth-616 New York City, but slightly changed.

No actual shots of New York City were used in the film, except for some background plates. Times Square and the surrounding parts of the city were all created as part of the backlot at Pinewood Studios, outside London. The streets and first floors of the buildings were all created, with the remainder of the buildings being completed by visual effects.
