The city that never sleeps is gonna take a little break.
The Silver Surfer makes an appearance in Manhattan, which causes the power to shut down citywide.
The first shot is outside the Circuit City store seen earlier in the film. This is located just outside the westernmost corner of 890 W Pender Street, at the corner of Hornby Street and an unnamed alley.

People in the lobby of a hotel or business office are caught by surprise when the power turns off. It’s unknown where this particular lobby is, but it’s assumed to be in Vancouver.
