The next time we return to Wade’s origin story, he’s being wheeled into an underground lab where Ajax will perform unspeakable experiments on him.
The initial shot of Wade being wheeled into the lab through the pipe-lined tunnel was filmed at Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam, specifically the Crease Clinic–according to MovieMaps. This location would be used again significantly as the Essex House for Mutant Rehabilitation in Deadpool 2.

For the interiors of the lab and the patient stalls, the production filmed in the Terminal City Iron Works building in Vancouver. This location was demolished in late Summer 2015 shortly after filming and replaced with office buildings. According to Cinefex 146, “Scenes in the blazing building were staged at Terminal City Iron Works in Vancouver, ironically once the center of the city’s fire hydrant industry.”
The second image below, of the Recruiter trying to recruit another individual to Ajax’s experiments appears to have been filmed in the same location–even though chronologically this is after Wade burned down the initial facility, and this man is not a part of the program yet.
