In 1992 young Eric plays basketball with his friends in a parking lot outside an apartment building. In the present day, T’Challa and Shuri land their ship to pay respects to their fallen countryman.

The parking lot is next door to the Wheat Street Towers in Atlanta, GA. The Ebenezer Baptist Church, in the background of the present day scenes, has been digitally altered to have a steeple.
