Peter is hired by J. Jonah Jameson as the event photographer for the party at the planetarium celebrating his son, John. It’s there that John and Mary Jane announce their engagement.
The Rose Center for Earth and Space, part of the American Museum of Natural History in New York, was used for the exteriors of the planetarium. The interior of the planetarium party was filmed on a soundstage and is loosely based on the interior of the Rose Center.
