Nothing like finding stretchy purple pants in a street market.
Banner moves north from Brazil to Guatemala to Mexico. These scenes of Bruce destitute and on the run were shot in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, not in Mexico.
The sequence opens with two ladies on a bench and a young boy looking down a steep street that Bruce is walking along (above/below). This is R Santo Alfredo at Largo das Neves in Rio de Janeiro. In fact, all these Mexico scenes were shot at the tiny roundabout of Largo das Neves.

Bruce is then seen leaning up against a lamp post where a young boy gives him some money. Bruce is in the center of Largo das Neves with the view over R Santo Alfredo in the background. The post he is leaning on is partial seen in the street view below.

This cuts to a street market where Bruce is purchasing some stretchy pants from a vendor. This was also filmed in the Largo das Neves circle, looking towards the lamp post Bruce was leaning against in the earlier shot.

One final shot has Bruce cowering against a wall as headlights pass by him. This was also filmed off the Largo das Neves circle on R. Eduardo Santos. The graffiti, railing, and tree are all visible in this street view from 2010.
